The Honorable President Pele. I was just reading about the peace talks between India and Pakistan when I came across this interesting tidbit about the man who is India's version of Secretary of State:
Pakistani Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar met for six hours Sunday and Monday with his Indian counterpart, Shashank, who uses one name.
It wouldn't improve policy, but I think the world would be better served if all politicians did the same. Just a warning, though: Shashank is already taken.

Floating in the Luna-verse. Almost five years after Luna was dropped by their record label Elektra just prior to releasing their fifth LP, scores of other bands (including Stereolab!) are being dropped by their labels as the parent company, Warner Music Group, tries to shrink down in size. It may end up being wonderful news, as Luna feels much less pressure when working with Jetset.
